If there is one thing you can say about Jayme, it's that he has a tremendous amount of energy. He is the driving force behind Vontastic. He often jokes about being a split personality since he architected Vontastic's technology and is the front-man for the company speaking often at Distributor seminars and trainings. His background spans over a decade as a service provider to consumer and small business customers. From the early days of competitive telecommunications, to Internet Services to VOIP, Jayme has done it all.
Jayme started in the telecommunications industry as a sales agent. After moving up to agency recruitment for a telecom firm, he started his own long distance company which he later sold. In 1998 he and two colleagues started an internet company called Wazzu which he credits as his greatest learning experience. At the helm of Wazzu, he raised millions of dollars in capital, assembled a world-class team and board of directors and fought a baseless Federal Trade Commission lawsuit which he negotiated and settled.
The FTC agreed that the company had done nothing wrong. Jayme jokes "If you are ever looking for something to strengthen your character, try wrestling with the federal government." After the Internet meltdown, Jayme was the turn-around CEO for a telecommunications company in Los Angeles. After successfully saving that company he was inspired with the vision for Vontastic: to create a global communications company by building a network of technology and expanding through a network of people.
Jayme believes that to be an effective leader, one must learn the balance between service and leadership, between humility and charisma, between patience and driving force. Although it may take an entire lifetime to perfect, Jayme is at home with the balances that create great leaders and great companies. He wears many hats at Vontastic, but the time he enjoys the most is the time spent with Distributors and employees, sharing the vision of Vontastic and strengthening the company through seeing its people in action first-hand.
