Electronic Operator Service
Electronic Operator Service is accessed from a phone registered to your Vontastic
Service-Line to make local, long distance or international calls. Generally this
service is used by our customers to make long distance and international calls to
people they do not call frequently. Customers access this service by calling a Vontastic
Network Number for the Electronic Operator. When called from a phone in registration,
the Electronic Operator answers and asks where you would like to call. You then
dial your final destination, and the Electronic Operator will connect you.
WARNING! When calling the Electronic Operator from your phone DO NOT
press <Send > on your phone after you enter your destination number. This
may cause your phone company to charge you for the call. Vontastic does not take
responsibility for any charges you may incur from your phone carrier for improper
use of Electronic Operator.
Anyphone™ Registrations
Anyphone™ Registrations allow you to access your Vontastic Service-Line from
your phone so you can make calls on your Vontastic Service-Line rates. When you
dial any Vontastic Network Number for a particular service, the Vontastic system
will recognize you by the Caller-ID of your phone number.
Anyphone™ numbers can be entered at the time you sign up. To make any changes
to your Anyphone™ registrations, you can access your account through the Account
Management Portal at www.vontastic.com.
You can also call Customer Service to make any changes to your Anyphone™ Registrations.
AutoDialTM
AutoDial is a patent-pending service from Vontastic that allows you to dial local
phone numbers from your phones and make calls on your Vontastic Service-Line rates
without having to call the Electronic Operator. This service was designed so that
you can save the local Vontastic AutoDial Numbers in the address book of your phone
for quick and easy phone dialing to people you call frequently.
When you first sign up for Vontastic, after you enter your Anyphone™ Registrations,
one of the steps is to set up your AutoDials (if AutoDials are included in the Plan
you signed up for). The sign-up process assumes the local area code for your AutoDials
will be the area code of your first Anyphone™ Registration, but you can change
the area code on any of your AutoDials at any time. You specify to the Vontastic
system who you want to be connected to when you dial each of the local AutoDial
numbers.
For example if the area code of your phone is 213 and the Plan you signed up for
offers 5 AutoDials, you will be presented with 5 AutoDial numbers in the 213 area
code. For each of the 5 local AutoDial numbers on the screen, you enter the phone
number of the person you want that particular AutoDial number to be connect you
to.
Then, when you dial one of the AutoDial numbers in the local 213 area code, Vontastic
will automatically connect you to the phone number you specified. AutoDial is especially
useful for long distance and International calls.
The benefits of AutoDial are that you are making local calls from your phone and
that you don't have to remember the phone numbers of the people you call frequently.
Please note that depending on the plan you have with your phone company, you may
be charged for your minutes or airtime.
Extra Inbound Phone Numbers
Extra Inbound Phone Numbers allow you to choose local phone numbers in other parts
of the U.S. and Canada where your friends, family or business associates live so
that they can call you on a phone number that is local to them. These numbers can
ring to your phones or to your VOIP Line on your Vontastic Service-Line rates.
For example, you may live in Texas, and you may have family that live in California,
New York and Toronto. You can choose to have an Extra Inbound Phone Number in each
of these cities. You may have the number you choose in California ring to your phone,
the number you choose in New York to ring to your spouses?phone, and perhaps the
number you choose in Toronto to ring to your VOIP line.
You set up your Extra Inbound Phone Numbers during the sign-up process and can make
modifications online through the Account Management Portal at www.vontastic.com, or you can call Customer
Service to make changes for you.
International Phone Numbers
Vontastic offers you phone numbers in a wide variety of countries that operate the
same way Extra Inbound Phone Numbers do. For pricing and availability, please see
the www.vontastic.com
website.
International Call Forwarding
International Call Forwarding allows you to choose a phone number anywhere in Vontastic's
service area and set that number to permanently Call Forward to an International
destination on your Service-Line rates. This service is generally an option depending
on the Plan you choose.
Global Ringback
Global Ringback is Vontastic's version of International call back. This service
allows you to register international phone numbers to your Vontastic Service-Line
so that friends, family members or business associates can call you from an international
destination at no cost to them and instead trigger Vontastic to call them back using
your Vontastic Service-Line rates.
During the sign-up process, you can enter the international phone numbers that you
would like to have registered to your Service-Line for Ringback and to which of
your phones or VOIP Lines you would like each of them to be connected. You then
supply your international caller with a Vontastic Global Ringback Network Number.
When your international caller calls the Vontastic Global Ringback Network Number,
they will get a busy signal. They must hang up immediately. Your Vontastic Service-Line
will then call them back and connect them to you on the phone or VOIP line that
you specified for that caller.
Please instruct your international caller to immediately hang up after they hear
the busy tone!
Cellular Ringback Option
All Anyphone™ Registrations have the option to set the Vontastic Network to
perform a Ringback to their phone if they so desire. The intent of this service
is to allow customers to take advantage of the phone plan they have with their phone
company.
For example, if your incoming calls are free on your phone company plan, you may
wish to take advantage of the Cellular Ringback option.
VonFAX
VonFAX is Vontastic's version of fax-to-email service. This service is designed
to receive your incoming faxes, convert them to a PDF document and then email them
to you and / or make them available online in the Account Management Portal.
Customers using VonFAX will choose a local phone number that will serve as their
fax number. This number will respond only to fax machines. To configure how you
would like to receive and view your faxes received by VonFAX, please log into your
Account Management Portal at www.vontastic.com.
This service is generally an option depending on the Plan you choose.
Toll Free (8xx) Numbers
We offer Toll Free Numbers to all of our customers, residential or small business
as an option on their Service-Line. Toll Free Numbers are similar to Extra Inbound
Numbers because they are set to ring to other numbers on your Service-Line and are
not stand-alone phone numbers.
For example, you can subscribe to Toll Free service and have your Toll Free number
ring to your phones or your VOIP Lines. Ordering, configuration and modifications
for Toll Free Numbers is available in your Account Management Portal at www.vontastic.com or by calling Customer
Service.
You pay for incoming calls! Unlike other phone numbers, Toll Free numbers
are free for callers to use, but charged to the holder of the Toll Free Number.
Toll Free rates are available on our website or by contacting Customer Service.
